JOINING

Membership is £25 per annum which runs from 1st April until 31st March each year.  The cost of this includes full affiliation with England Athletics and Northern Athletics. We also offer a second claim or social membership for just £15

If you do wish to join, download a membership form here and either bring the completed form along to a training session or send a scanned / electronic copy to secretary@derwentac.com.

You will then shortly receive an electronic invoice for payment, and after this you will receive your registration details and your England Athletics affiliation membership card.

It is the responsibility of all members to ensure they have read both of these documents, Privacy Notice & Codes of Conduct.

ABILITIES

We welcome runners of all abilities.

We currently have a real mix of members – you will be sure to find other runners at a similar level to you!

All we ask is that you can manage to run around 5 miles (no matter at what pace!) as many of our sessions will involve covering this distance.

Most training sessions cater for all abilities, and if necessary, the group will be split into similar ability levels.

COME ALONG

Feel free to ‘try before you buy’ - anyone is welcome to come and meet with the group and join in with a couple of our training sessions before deciding whether to join or not. This will give you the chance to get a feel for the club and to ask any questions without making a commitment.

Some people are put off by seeing us as a competitive running club.  Although we certainly have members who enjoy races and seeing improvements with their performance, we also have members who never enter races but come along to improve their fitness and to enjoy the social aspect of running in a group.
