Virtual Isel Cross

Celebrate our 50th Anniversary by completing the Isel Cross race virtually. Whether you were volunteering on race night, or not able to make it, you haven't missed out. Complete the race one your own (or with a friend), submit your results by email, and receive your medal.

The course starts at Cockermouth School with the first three miles on undulating road. The course then climbs on uneven track through Setmurthy Woods, returning downhill to the school via fields.

This year, 2023, Derwent Athletic Club will celebrate its 50th Anniversary. To help celebrate this golden jubilee, we have commissioned a series of 4 medals for the four races we hold throughout the year. If you compete in all four of our races, the medals can be placed together to make a larger circular medal to celebrate 50 years of DAC.

Upon completion of the virtual race, and submitting your results and image of your gps tracking, you will be sent your medal.

**Please choose footwear to suit the terrain and weather conditions on the day. The highest point of the course is exposed to the elements so warmer layers may be required.**

The course is not suitable for wheelchairs.

To register for the virtual race, follow these steps:

1. Register here online and pay the £6.50 entry fee.
2. Prepare for the race day by downloading any necessary apps, tracking tools, or safety measures (e.g., wearing reflective clothing or carrying water).
3. Complete the race distance on your own time and place, following the race rules and requirements (e.g., running the designated route, with a GPS tracker, and submitting your result). A copy of the route map is available here.
4. Submit your results (a copy/image of your gps tracker) and your time to iselcross@gmail.com
5. Your race must be completed within 3 weeks of your entry date.
6. There will be no refunds or transfers.
7. You run this route, in your own time, and at your own risk, with no race support or insurance coverage from DAC.
